What can I tell you? I’m a very lucky girl.
I live in a beautiful country with my best friend and feel overwhelmingly blessed and grateful every day.
Our first kiss was in Amsterdam and we were immediately and incessantly hooked on each other.
You might see a shimmer of me here, a glimpse of my observations of living in Sweden, a few recipes of the tasty food that makes it past my lips and into my mouth, random reflections, some adventures in travel, and a few bits and pieces of life I personally find, well….tantalizing.
So, some things that tickle my fancy?
I adore:
Shiny lip-gloss
Sleeping in over the top luxurious linens
Compassion
Fresh air
Exploring and traveling
Drinking with my girlfriends
Big hearts
Interior design
The safety and comfortableness of family
Funny and sarcastic people – aren’t these the same?
Touch football
All things in the culinary world, including but certainly not limited to: cool, hip, and ridiculously expensive kitchen gadgets, Gordon Ramsey, old fashion butchers, small plates, cooking shows, Global knives, supper clubs, stainless steel, farmers markets, Kitchen Aids and sustainable produce
Indie music
Thoughtfulness
Shiiki
Black and white photography
French bulldogs
Getting a mani/pedi every 2 weeks
Honesty
Brett Dennen
Expensive handbags
Spontaneity – but usually only when it’s well-planned
Pretty wrapping paper
People that smile
Leaps of faith
Johnny Depp
Being significant
Great Italian wine – well, any great wine really
Not taking yourself too seriously
Genuine joyfulness
Every day I’m here
I also heart comments.

You pair of soppy buggers! 🙂 My first kiss with my wife was also in Amsterdam! I guess that makes us all soppy buggers? 🙂
When we came up for your celebration you put on an awesome Italian spread!! Can you put details on this site of what all the food was? I would love to do that at home and my wife would love it too.
🙂
We have a really similar story to you guys… I left Seattle to work in Belgium, we met in Brussels and are now in a smallish town Norway. Great blog!
Hey Dish,
Hope all went well on your trip home. Thanks so much. I can’t wait for you and Fattie to come to the states.
